A lively crisp and fragrant prosecco with a fruity nose and palate expressing notes of apples, apricots and citrus fruit.

Patusco Vinho Verde has a citrus yellow color with greenish hints. Fruity aroma with intense citric notes giving freshness and joviality to the versatile and pleasant set. Slightly “petillant”, fresh and balanced.

A blend of Malvasia Fina, Encruzado & Cerceal Branco. This a seriously good value fresh white wine showing how Dao whites should be taken seriously. Fresh aromas of lemons and green apple with hints of wet stone. The palate has bright acidity, citrus characters alongside mineral and savoury a crisp finish.

50/50 blend of red grapes pinot noir and pinot meunier from Premier Cru rated vineyards. Soft salmon pink in colour, with citrus and floral characteristics on the nose. A silky and textured body, with red and blackcurrants, blackberries, jam and stewed fruit.

Champagne Gardet

Starting with 11 hectares of vineyards in 1999, Miguel Pérez Cerrada has made Domini de la Cartoixa a leading light in Priorat.

His ‘Formiga de Galena’ Priorat is truly impressive, with massive depth of flavour and great intensity. Garnacha, Carninena and Syrah all work together to produce a profusion of red and dark fruit flavours. Still a little tight at the moment (but still delicious) - if you've got the patience and discipline to put this away for a couple of years it will blossom into something magnificant.

Classy Malbec from the heart of Mendoza. In 2004, a group of small producers got together to form Estancia Mendoza as a small co-operative, since when their dedication and commitment has led to global recognition. This 100% Malbec is a wine that ticks a lot of boxes – it’s generous and full flavoured with all manner of dark fruits gathering together, underpinned by gentle oak but with soft tannins and well-balanced acidity. Barbecue wine on steroids!

Charming and sophisticated Rose Prosecco from one of the region's most quality-minded producers. Zucchetto have made this delicious glass of summer berry joy in a crisp Extra Brut style to ensure maximum refreshment.

Zucchetto

A Pinot Noir from the southern Loire region of the Auvergne. Fresh and aromatic with sappy green notes, hints of herbs and ripe cherry fruit on the nose. The palate is elegant and textured with smooth, sappy red cherry fruit. Beautifully expressive and elegant. A pure, lighter-style red wine with no harsh edges.

Desprat & Saint-Verny

50 % whole berry and 50% whole bunch carbonic maceration. Wild yeast fermentation. Aged exclusively in 2nd/3rd use Hungarian 500L barrels for 6-8 months

Aromas of violet flora and raspberry. Raspberry fruit continues on the palate, together with strawberry, cacao and white pepper. Tannin is subtle and integrated, weaving through fruit and lightly toasted oak.

The Quercus wines are made a stone’s throw (a couple of miles, anyway) from the vineyards of Collio. Goriška Brda is Slovenian for Collio Goriziano, and while these hills may be divided by a political boundary, viticulturally they are one and the same. The result is fresh, modern wines that offer extra terroir-driven elegance for a very keen price.

The Symington family may be better known for their Port houses and Douro vineyards (Graham’s, Dow’s, Warre’s and Cockburn’s are perhaps their most recognised labels) but latterly they have expanded their interests south of the Douro and this gorgeous white from Alentejo offers all the evidence one needs that they have not been wasting their time. Arinto has the reputation of being the country’s finest white grape and it forms 75% of the blend here alongside Verdelho. Barrel fermented before ageing for 7 months in cask this is a pretty serious style of white with a real richness and intensity.

A blend of classic Douro varieties where Viosinho from Quinta do Confradeiro is predominant, but is completed with Malvasia Fina, Gouveio and Rabigato. It ferements at cold temperatures in stainless steel vats and then is left in contact with its lees until bottling what gives it additional complexity and richness. It's a classic in our portfolio. Very elegant with some apricot and grapefruit notes and a mineral sensation. Great texture and acidity give it a really fresh mouthfeel. Very gastronomic and versatile.

Richly textured and intense white with citrus and stone fruit aromas, fennel and white pepper notes. Bright balancing acidity with a tight structure.

On the west side of Sicily close to Marsala, is where Rallo Azienda Agricola calls home.

Working organically, the Vesco family focus on creating fragrant crisp Catarratto and perfumed fresh Nero d'Avola from their hillside vineyards. These vineyards are certified organic and are nestled high up in the hills south of Alcamo to take advantage of the slightly cooler temperatures and greater diurnal differences. The vines look down on the town of Marsala where, when the grapes have been harvested, they are taken. Here Andrea Vesco treats them with respect, utilising modern technology to ensure the freshness is retained for the final wines and creating elegant examples of the varieties that are anything but what you would expect from such a hot land.

A heady mix of citrus, grapefruit and tropical fruits, this is well rounded and complex with a long mineral finish.

Cantine Rallo

Recent vintages have not been kind to many vignerons across France but the central vineyards encompassing Sancerre and Pouilly-sur-Loire have suffered more than most with up to 80% of the crop lost through frost and hail and a commensurate increase in pricing. Cometh the hour, cometh the Reuilly – a 100% Sauvignon Blanc from 70km west of Sancerre which exhibits a glorious freshness and wet pebble minerality. Bursting with Sauvignon character but retaining the steeliness of its more celebrated neighbour, this could be one of my wines of the summer.

Aromas of bramble fruit, vanilla, nutmeg and sweet spice. The palate is rich and complex with blueberry and blackberry fruit, ripe tannins and good length.

A delicious red made from premium parcels of wine. Generous, flavoursome and elegant with dark and red berry fruit flavours.

Fiona and Niall Shiner had been living in Hong Kong for 18 years when they returned to Britain to take on Niall's parents' property at Amberley. Niall continued with his career, but mother-of-three Fiona decided to plant some vines at the property following a comment by her mother-in-law that the Romans could have grown vines there. The first acre was planted in 2007, with the acquisition of an old cattle farm on the (really quite steep) hill opposite and converting an old barn into a winery in 2016. A third vineyard side since been acquired taking the current area under vine (but not all producing grapes yet) to 58 acres (23ish hectares), still firmly in the ‘tiny’ bracket.

A delightful sparkling Rosé with a pretty pale salmon colour, and a persistent, pale mousse. The aroma is inviting with delicate macerated strawberries and cream, so soft yet persistent presence on the palate, with minerality underpinning red berry fruit and orange zest

Fresh, dry and crammed with summer fruits flavours.

Fabrizio Vella is a passionate winemaker living and working in Sicily.

Proud of the island that he calls home he wanted to create a wine range that was personal to him, that reflected where he was from. Working with indigenous varieties of Cattaratto and Nero d’Avola he conjured four wines using an organic approach and careful winemaking to create wines that are fresh, exciting, moreish and true to their origin. A Sicilian wine through and through.

A natural wine with a complex nose, which is spicy and packed full of punchy liqouirice, chocolate, and dark fruits. Crisp, pleasant and persistent in the mouth.

A delightful nose of honey and peaches, delicate and graceful on the palate with traces of citrus fruit and spice. Very elegant and perfectly balances with a refreshing crisp long finish.

Shows lovely balance of ripeness, varietal purity and finesse. Fragrant rose-petal/water and grapefruit aromas with a hint of sweet spice, pretty rich and pineappley, but with fine structure and complexity, spicy juicy fruit and acidity combine well to finish.

Cave de Turckheim

From one of the leading growers of Chianti Classico this is a kind of “baby Chianti” – mostly Sangiovese (obv) with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot thrown in. Full of raspberry and cherry fruit it’s a lighter style which is ideal with white meats or summer salads.

The white Santenay Clos de Malte is a rich and structured wine. It is elegant and fresh, with fruity, citrusy aromas and a hint of woody notes.

This wine is made from Georgias's indigenous grape variety – Saperavi, which is hand harvested from the Kakheti Region (East Georgia). Wine undergoes 7-10 days of fermentation on skins. Once fermentation is complete, skins are removed from the wine.

Saperavi is often compared to Malbec, Cabernet Franc and even Gamay depending on how it is made. In this case we are firmly in Malbec territory – deep, bright and juicy with dark berry flavours.

Teliani Valley Winery

Not posh or sophisticated but very appealing - warm earth and herbs with a meatiness right in the middle!

Vibrant and youthful colour with cherry jam and red berry fruit characters. The palate is warm and generous, packed full of polished berry fruit, a touch of spice and a bitter plum twist on the finish. Tannins are gentle and add structure to this substantial, spicy red.

Monte Schiavo

Vines grown on limestone and clay soils, vinified and aged in concrete.

Deep, earthy, incredibly tight in its youth this will certainly benefit from a few hours in a decanter. Upon opening up the herbaceous, spicy notes and elegant shapes come to the fore.

Mouthwatering stone fruit, lemon, herbs, a hint of passion fruit and subtle notes of gooseberry. The grapes chosen for this wine are from Oliver's oldest and finest vines.

Weingut Oliver Zeter

Zesty and bright with ripe peach and grapefruit notes on the nose followed by a palate of zippy grapefruit and lemon zest with a pleasingly long finish.

The name of this unusual Bourgogne Pinot Noir refers to the latitude of Burgundy, and it is a blend of out best Bourgogne Rouge, Cote de Nuits Village, Marsannay and Vosne-Romanee.

Enitely made from the Sardinian Nuragus grape, which historically does not have the best reputation, this is hand-harvested, fermented with 24 hrs' skin contact in stainless steel. Aged in steel for 11 months on fine lees, unfined, unfiltered. A noble, deep, complex white wine, for lovers of Xarel.lo or whites from the northern Rhône.
