De Kuyper

Cotswolds Cream Liqueur is made by mixing their new-make single malt spirit (unaged whisky) with fresh Irish cream, creating a wonderfully rich liqueur with notes of vanilla and butterscotch.

Cotswolds Distillery

Concentrated and fruity with enough sour fruit to balance the liqueur sweetness. Cassis jam, floral honey and a hint of menthol mint and ginger.

Delamain are a house that prides itself on only releasing XO cognacs or above, the Pleiade Collection are a series of single cask bottlings of very old cognacs, often from a single vineyard or vintage. La Rambaudie is from the village of Malaville.

"This cognac originates from the superb 20ha parcel of vines we cultivate today. The eau-de-vie, distilled in a small alambic on the propriety, has been aged in one of my favourite cellars. I have personally selected it for its full-bodied fruitiness; its aromas of fresh fig, swirling amongst vanilla, soft leather and spices."

The Reposado is carefully rested in a combination of new and used French limousine oak barrels for a minimum of eight months and up to two years. This ensures that the resulting spirit is the perfect balance between agave notes and those from the barrel.

NOSE Immediately very fruity – red fruits, especially cherries, and jam. The sweetness of cooked agave enhances the fruitiness, with delicate herbal notes providing a balancing counterpoint.

PALATE The French oak influence becomes obvious on the palate, with rich caramel, maple syrup and creamy vanilla flavours. With those is fruity dark chocolate, some of the jam from the nose, although deep in the mix, and gentle spiciness.

FINISH The cask influence is felt yet again in the finish, where agave pepperiness quickly fades to vanilla.

Bottled at 48% this is a fabulous blend that takes rums aged for 14 years in ex-Bourbon casks and ex-Madeira casks and blends them together for something truly exceptional.

Idle Assembly Rum is inspired by time spent in Dunmore Town on Harbour Island in the Bahamas, where one of the founders, David Flint Wood, has lived for almost thirty years.

A premium blend of rums from Trinidad, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Panama aged in ex-bourbon, white oak barrels for between 5 and 20 years and bottled at 43% without any additives

Warm oak spices, giner and cacao nibs on the nose followed more clove and cinnamon spicey notes, raisins, dried figs and maple syrup on the palate. It's not particualrly sweet but smooth and great as a sipping rum but does make amazing cocktails (see the Whitebox x Idle Assembly pre-made cans).

Golden yellow. Vanilla, spice and some dried fruit on the initial aromas. Well-structured body with a light and elegant touch. Finishes well with a little tickle of fire from the spirit.

Topaz with flashes of gold. A full-bodied nose of aromatic richness and hints of liquorice and touches of vanilla and cedar wood. Good length on the palate with a very smooth, layered finish.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich, warming creamy texture and fudge toffee is overlaid with the tingling aroma of fresh clean spirit. Vanilla, hints of banana and exotic fruits – and even rose petals – all linger gently in the background.

Palate: In the mouth the fruits are more intense and intermingle with the vanilla.

Finish: The combination of fresh cream and complex spirit produces a mysterious depth which is difficult to describe but encourages the next mouthful.

Merlyn Welsh Cream Liqueur

Blanco is double distilled, then fermented in open-air tanks, amid fragrant citrus trees, before resting for up to one month in the same French oak barrels used for aging Napa Valley Chardonnay, imparting an incredibly smooth taste.

A nose of cooked agave, banana, fresh coconut, almonds, sweet orange and green apple is layered over hints of elegant vanilla. On the palate, orange blossom tea underscores threads of honey and sweet orange, balanced by subtle white pepper notes.

Reposado is double distilled, then fermented in open-air tanks, amid fragrant citrus trees, resting for three months in the same French oak barrels used for aging Napa Valley Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, imparting an incredibly smooth taste.

The fragrant nose opens with cooked agave, ripe banana, apple, chocolate and cappuccino, layered over aromas of vanilla, cinnamon, pumpkin and clove. On the palate, honey maple, peaches and cream, white chocolate and a thread of minerality segues to a pepper and toasted oak finish.

Penderyn Distillery was founded by a group of friends who wished to create the first whisky distillery in Wales for over a century. The historic village of Penderyn on the southern tip of the Brecon Beacons was chosen due to the site’s own supply of fresh natural spring water. The distillery was launched in 2004 and has since become renowned for their range of superlative Welsh whiskies and spirits. FIVE is a premium 43% abv vodka made with using water from the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is distilled five times for maximum purity. FIVE gains a smooth fruit twist when we add a hint of barley spirit from our unique Penderyn still.

Excellent Mezcal from the Pensador range, with a focus of the Espadín agave! Traditional production methods are used to produce the spirit, making for a flavoured expression that'll be perfect for enjoying neat or in a cocktail. Incredibly impressive indeed.

The first release in Pensador's Especial series! These agave spirits (they won't be classified as mezcal, as Pensador says though the classifications help to protect the rapidly growing mezcal industry, they can sometimes exclude some important parts of mezcal culture, including the independence of small producers and the historical context of the term) are limited edition releases, highlighting different agave types and producers from the region of Miahuatlán.

Batch PA1 was made by Felipe and Ageo Cortez using a one shot distillation method on a refrescador still, made with Tepextate agave. Intensely herbaceous, savoury, and delicious stuff.
