We’re delighted to introduce Foursquare MANDAMUS (Mark XXIX), the latest addition to Foursquare’s acclaimed Exceptional Cask Selection. This limited-edition release is a beautifully composed Single Blended Rum, crafted from both pot and column still distillates and matured for a full 16 years — first spending 10 years in ex-Bourbon casks, followed by 6 years in ex-Tawny Port casks. Bottled at 57% ABV, non-chill filtered and with no added sweeteners or colouring, MANDAMUS showcases purity and precision at its core. What truly sets MANDAMUS apart is its bold Port cask character, a style that first captured the hearts of Foursquare fans back in 2014. Idle Assembly Rum is inspired by time spent in Dunmore Town on Harbour Island in the Bahamas, where one of the founders, David Flint Wood, has lived for almost thirty years.
A premium blend of rums from Trinidad, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Panama aged in ex-bourbon, white oak barrels for between 5 and 20 years and bottled at 43% without any additives
Warm oak spices, giner and cacao nibs on the nose followed more clove and cinnamon spicey notes, raisins, dried figs and maple syrup on the palate. It's not particualrly sweet but smooth and great as a sipping rum but does make amazing cocktails (see the Whitebox x Idle Assembly pre-made cans).

Presented in its distinctive bottle, designed to mimic the traditional leather bottles most recently seen gracing the screens in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies clutched in Captain Jack Sparrow's hand, this is a great example of Bajan rum. Aged in ex-Bourbon casks for 10 years with now added sweetener, flavour or colour, just pure clean flavours of a top-notch rum.
