A hint of red apple adds a sweet, fruity touch, while subtle accents of aniseed and vanilla enrich the aromatic complexity. The richness continues on the palate, with the lively spices perfectly balanced by the citrus fruit's liveliness. The finish is dry and refined, fading gently to an elegant spiciness.

Hops grown in the UK are normally harvested during September and early October. The cones are separated from the bine and then dried immediately on a kiln, and pressed into bales to be stored until used – maybe for more than a year. An advantage of the brewery's location in one of the prime hop growing regions in the country is the opportunity to make green hopped beers during harvest season- pitched into the beer within an hour of picking gives a huge bright lump of fresh hoppy aromas and flavours. Try it as an aperitif and savour the unique flavour.
