In 2013, the Champagne region faced unique weather conditions - a long winter punctuated by snow and frost - was one of the latest harvest’s since 1988. However despite these turbulent conditions, this vintage champagne embodies the excellence of the Bollinger vineyards on the Montagne de Reims and the resulting wine is delightful.
Bollinger are famed for their Pinot Noir so there is little surprise that its signature rich, open style shines through. The wonderful smoky, nutty and caramel tones imparted by Bollinger’s distinct foudre ageing are already present and the reserve wines, aged for up to 7 years in magnum, add to its exceptional aromatic intensity

The most absolute expression of the style of the House, the Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs is always a vintage cuvee. Made from 100% Chardonnay with grapes from the finest crus of the prestigious Cote des Blancs (Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Oger, Mesnil-sur-Oger), this cuvee is made only with juice from the first pressing. A small proportion of the blend (5%) is aged in new oak casks, which lends nuance to the harmondy of its delicate toasted notes. With these great Chardonnays from its lands, Taittinger knows to be patient; the Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs waits in the chalk mines of Saint-Nicaise for 10 years before seeing the light of day and overjoying the palates of consumers

The Brut Vintage 2012 from Champagne Pol Roger is made from the traditional house vintage blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay from 20 Grands and Premiers crus vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. Produced only in limited quantities the Brut Vintage 2012 has been aged for 7 years in our cellars before being disgorged and released onto the market.

An elegant and balanced Champagne. Fresh citrus notes mingled with very ripe pear and peach. The palate has sweet spiced vanilla and floral notes with hints of peppercorns and intense mineral depth. Flowery and fresh with notes of brioche and citrus, together with a clean and persistent mousse.
