Based at the 'Home of the Brave' in the Barossa, First Drops ethos is about passion for life, fun and flavour and in their own words “… a lifelong commitment to making kick arse booze.” Some of their wines are made from an eclectic selection of grape varieties grown in unique vineyards in the great regions of the Barossa, Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale. New arrivals this Spring include the single vineyard Fat of the Land Shiraz and JR Gantos- an intriguing Cabernet/Touriga Nacional blend. Wines not to be missed, otherwise you’ll have to wait until we can ship again in the Autumn.

In collaboration with Peel & Stone we're welcoming multi-award winning winemaker Matt Gant from brilliant Aussie producer First Drop. As we felt simple crackers really wouldn't do his wines justice, Peel & Stone will be preparing some exquisite hors d’œuvre to accompany the evening.
Please leave a note with any dietary requirements when placing your order, and Peel & Stone will be able to make any changes necessary.
NB: No physical tickets will be sent out. Your name will be added to the event guest list held at the store.
This petit Chardonnay was picked à main and then pressed avec les whole bunches. Ne pas de SO2 and toutes les solides dans this barrel fermentation sauvage – ne pas de yeast added! The oak is tête de hog Français, naturellement mon colonel, then dix months stirring avec les lees. We have here un vin restrained, sophisticated, fabrique belgique.
Or to put it another way - Apples and pears, rock melon, well integrated smoky oak, cashew nuttiness on the nose. In the mouth the generous fruit turns more to tarte aux pommes with hints of almond, biscuit, on a tight, textured palate.
