Felix Fortunato Lavaque arrived in Argentina in 1886 in search of land to grow vines seeing great potential in the natural resources available and within Cafayate, Salta he purchased land and vineyards. Situated in a valley surrounded by mountains, with warm days and cool nights with just the right amount of rain, the Finca Quara winery and vineyards are 1800m above sea level.
Today the wines are produced by a team of winemakers made up of Luis Mounier, Pancho Lavaque and Marcelo Peleritti. The wines are elegant but bursting with personality.
