DR. LO Riesling has just the right amount of fruitiness to balance the crisp acidity. On the palate it is clearly Riesling, but it walks the line between a fruity and drier style. The characteristic acidity of Mosel Riesling helps it finish fresh and clean. If shown blind it may not be recognized as alcohol-free.

Tradionally distilled in a copper pot still called Doris, with 9 carefully selected botanicals. Lemon thyme gives a wonderful citrus high note whilst a warming undertone develops from tellicherry pepper.

Distilled with Honeydew Melon, Cucumber, Garden Mint, Strawberry, Blackberry and Lime alongside their traditional botanicals. Beautifully refreshing with sweetness provided by Honeydew Melon and Strawberry, crispness of cucumber and lightness provided by Mint and Lime; whilst still retaining its Gin backbone. This is a proper Spring/Summer Sipper.

Longridge Wine Estate

Cherry, mint and walnut aromas, with notes of lemon zest, cardamom and toffee... with flavors of orange, nuts, chocolate and coffee; finishes fairly sweet, with lemon and herb notes.

The d'Annona vineyard is a fantastic single vineyard site with vines in excess of 60 years old. The grapes selected for this wine are grown on 2 small parcels totalling 3.5 ha. The grapes are hand-picked, destemmed and crushed, and innoculated with selected yeasts. The must undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel with pumping over four times per day. The wine is then racked to a mixture of new (two thirds) and one year old (one third) French oak barriques where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged for 18-20 months. It spends a further 18 months in bottle before release.

Depending on the vintage, the blend shifts between old-vine Garnacha Blanca, Macabeo and sometimes a splash of Pedro Ximénez, but the style remains constant: mineral, savoury, gently aromatic and utterly captivating. Think pear skin, fennel, wet stone and a twist of Mediterranean herbs. A wine for thinkers, talkers and late-night philosophers.

Colourless and bright pisco with a silver glimmer. A lush floral aroma with tinges of roses and jasmine, as well as candied citrus skins. On the palate it is sweet, round, and even creamy, with a long and persistent finish.

The Gómez Cruzado winery dates back to 1886 when Angel Gómez de Arteche started to produce and bottle his own wine in Haro, at the very heart of Rioja Alta. This was in the day when the wine trade between Rioja and France passed along the Tudela-Bilbao line, and the key Rioja wineries were located around the station of Haro. The winery sits just 100m from the station to this day.

Produced from grapes cultivated in the highest parts of the Ebro valley. Predominantly Garncaha (65%) from Alto Nejerilla, in the area between the towns of Badarán, Cordovin and Cárdenas where the vines grow in red ferrous clay soils; and Tempranillo (35%) from Samaniego, and the white limestone soils of Sierra Cantabria. Hand-harvested into 200kg crates with a selection of bunches at the winery. Garnacha and Tempranillo are destemmed and vinified separately. They undergo cold fermentation with native yeasts, and a short maceration. Then the two wines are assembled and refined in concrete for around 5 months.

Bright and aromatic with cherry and berry characters and a hint of liquorice. The palate is complex with layers of plum, bramble and forest fruits, all supported by fine tannins, and long and elegant on the finish.

Domaine Bessa Valley

A big, robust Bulgarian red made in a very opulent Bordeaux style by master winemakers. This wine shows a deep purple colour whilst the nose explodes with vanilla and menthol aromas, followed by blackberry and raspberry strong nuances.

This wine displays an intense ruby red colour with violet hues. The nose reveals aromas of red fruit and black fruit with balsamic tones, which complements with notes of vanilla, chocolate, cherry and plums. It has a soft palate, fine-grained tannins, and refreshing acidity.

On the nose, this Sauvignon Blanc displays citrus aromas, of lime and tangerine. The palate features aromas of mandarin, tropical fruits and herbal notes. A wine with a refreshing acidity, great depth and persistence.

Eshcol was the original name of the estate. First planted in the 1800s, the wines made here helped establish Napa’s early reputation for quality. Eshcol Red is an authentic Bordeaux-style blend sourced primarily from the younger blocks of the main ranch.

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec, 1% Cabernet Franc

This red blend opens with bold fruit-forward aromas of blackberry and dried cherry. On the palate, bright red fruit gives way to modest tannins and nicely balanced acidity, making it ready to open for almost any occasion.

Trefethen Family Vineyards

Aromas of rose petal, red berries and grilled meats are compelling. The wine is round and mouthfilling with a red fruited profile, but a firm tannic backbone provides complexity and length

This is a dry style Pinot Gris with aromas and flavours of Nashi pear, peach, citrus and honey. A small portion of barrel fermentation has added richness and complexity to this delicious and highly drinkable wine.

Esk Valley Estate

This a very aromatic and intensely flavoured wine true to its Marlborough origins. Its flavours are a mix of ripe tropical fruits, citrus and cooler notes of green fruits and fresh herbs. It is rich and full-flavoured style with a crisp dry finish which provides freshness and length to the palate.

Dark garnet with a violet rim. Fresh lifted berry fruit that draws you in! Full yet elegant with bramble aromas and cream, cassis and black cherry flavours on the palate with structure provided by fine tannins with a long rich, ripe finish.

The long wild yeast ferment provides bready aromas and additional complexity to the wine. Dried herbaceous notes, including fennel and aniseed from the nearby Fynbos, dominate the nose, followed by a creamy lemon character. The palate is reminiscent of the nose, with great textural complexity (attributable to the long, slow wild yeast fermentation), and more herbal characters.

The grapes for False Bay Whole Bunch Cinsault Mourvedre stem from bush-vine Cinsault (mostly old vines) in Stellenbosch and The Swartland, along with a small proportion of Mourvedre from Stellenbosch which adds a savoury depth to the wine. Although The Swartland is not as coastal as most of the vineyards used for the False Bay wines, it is an area where, quite frankly, grapes from old vines are available at the required prices. Thankfully, the area's old vines produce naturally low yields and retain good acidity despite being warmer and less windswept than Stellenbosch, so cooler, coastal Atlantic winds are less of a necessity for these gnarly old vines. Made by Waterkloof's talented young Cellarmaster Nadia Barnard. Balanced grapes are hand harvested, whole-bunch pressed and fermented spontaneously with wild yeast in stainless steel and wooden foudre. The wine is left on lees for a minimum of three months before bottling. No additions other than sulphur as a preservative. Grown, made and bottled in South Africa.

Old bush vine Cinsault forms the backbone of this ‘proper’ rosé. A pale, spicy and textural Rosé mostly sourced from bush-vine Cinsault with summer fruits on the palate and a lovely clean, savoury, dry finish.

False Bay Vineyards

Fernet-Branca

Solevari Feteascã Regalã comes from selected areas of the vineyard with fractured Limestone and light iron oxide rich loams, clay soils. Typically they are the areas known to produce better grapes. The grapes are given an extended ripening period to allow development of more intense flavour. The grippy mouth feel, typical for Feteascã Regalã is well expressed in this wine by allowing full fermentation to dryness, to create a sophisticated palate

Golden yellow with greenish reflections, good limpidity. Mineral, with slight tints of black locust flowers and the discovery of white ripped fruits in the background (peaches, pears, pineapple). Good acidity, elegance, present mineralisation, balance and a medium aftertaste.

The estate covers 11 hectares near Chiusi, on the border of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. Maria Sole follows the principles of Rudolf Steiner (Biodynamics) and Masanobu Fukuoka (“do-nothing” farming), using biodynamic preparations and avoiding weeding to maintain a balanced, self-sustaining vineyard ecosystem

Grown on sand and clay in vineyards between 17 and 32 years. The grapes are hand harvested and undergo one night of skin contact to extract the perfect amount of flavour. The wine then undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the natural characteristics of the grapes. After this the wine spends approximately 7 months of aging in a combination of steel and concrete tanks. Maria Sole bottles “Noble Kara” without fining or filtration, and with a minimum of sulphur.

Distilled in 2016, this ‘field to bottle’ single malt spent years maturing in bourbon casks before transferring to be ‘finished’ in shaved, toasted and re-charred (hence STR) red wine barriques, which came from sunny Rioja vineyards in Spain.

Light, floral, and fruity with notes of summer berries, vanilla ice cream, orange chocolate, and toasted oak.

Bodegas Manzanos
