Living up to their name, Wild and Wilder are delighted to present the rule-breaking Tabula Rasa. Each year, the slate is wiped clean and, with no preconceptions, every vintage is original. #V18R draws on fruit from historic vineyards across South Australia, Grenache, Shiraz, Mataro and Carignan, this delicious wine captures the very essence of one season in a playful format that just demands to be drunk. The 2018 edition is lip-smackingly crunchy with vibrant black cherry fruit and exotic spice on the finish.
Merlot, Tannat, Cabernet and a touch of Syrah. A delightful surprise! a red fruity bouquet, loads of strawberries and cream, crisp and fresh, toasty biscuity finish.
The wine is a blend of Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Gros Manseng, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, and Folle Blanche
An attractive floral nose (acacia) showing ripe tropical fruit flavours with herbaceous undertone. On the palate the tropical fruit flavours are balanced by a fresh acidity which runs through to the finish.
A very expressive nose showing exotic fruits (mango, passion fruit, lychee). On the palate fresh and fruity with a hint of minerality.
A classic Italian Pinot Grigio, smooth and easy-drinking, light in body, with subtle floral notes and citrus flavours.
The long wild yeast ferment provides bready aromas and additional complexity to the wine. Dried herbaceous notes, including fennel and aniseed from the nearby Fynbos, dominate the nose, followed by a creamy lemon character. The palate is reminiscent of the nose, with great textural complexity (attributable to the long, slow wild yeast fermentation), and more herbal characters.
