Sound of Sleat is the fourth release in the Torabhaig Legacy SeriesThis expression is crafted from a blend of Concerto and Laureate malted barley, peated to 78PPM+, and fermented with 100% Pinnacle MG yeast over a 72-hour period. This release is aged exclusively using Quercus Alba American Oak, including first-fill heavily toasted barrels shipped directly from the cooperage, first-fill Bourbon barrels typically 4-6 years old from Kentucky and refilled Bourbon barrels that may have had 10 years+ use from our own warehouses. Bottled at 46% without chill-filtration or colouring.
The result is a deeply expressive single malt, offering delicate notes of orange, apricot, and sweet maritime seaweed on the nose, a rich palate of bonfire smoke, honey, and sea salt, and a lingering, elegant finish that captures the spirit of storms, sunsets, and the wild Sound of Sleat.

This premium bottling of Irish Whiskey now contains Clonakilty distilled Single Pot Still Whiskey married with Single Grain Whiskey. Matured in ex-bourbon, virgin American oak, and shaved re-toasted European Oak red wine barrels. The result is a whiskey with aromas of soft spices and vanilla, leading to flavours of ginger and hazelnut with a long finish of toffee/caramel sweetness and spices lingering on the palate.

After opening their distillery in 2019, Clonakilty now proudly presents their Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, finally ready to be enjoyed. Crafted from 100% Cork-grown barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills at the distillery, it is matured in their Atlantic Ocean warehouse, where the coastal influence plays its part. Aged in a combination of ex-Bourbon and Amontillado casks, the whiskey offers flavours of sweet vanilla and kiwi, with notes of caramelised pear and dark chocolate adding depth and richness.
