A Pinot Noir from the southern Loire region of the Auvergne. Fresh and aromatic with sappy green notes, hints of herbs and ripe cherry fruit on the nose. The palate is elegant and textured with smooth, sappy red cherry fruit. Beautifully expressive and elegant. A pure, lighter-style red wine with no harsh edges.
The nose has jasmine tea notes with white pepper held together by a fine sandy structure. On the palate there are bright floral and mineral nuances with a lingeringly spicy, ginger and exotic finish. A hugely and broadly appealing and accessible Gewürz.
Gilbert & Gaillard Wine Guide: `Clear light gold. Heady nose scented with pear, white peach, linden and acacia. Seductive roundness on the palate which combines fat and aromatic freshness. Aroma adds suppleness and lovely drinkability. An indulgent wine for sharing.`
