Back in 1961, seventeen farmers from the hills of Tuscany formed a “micro co-operative” to relaunch the local economy and give voice to the region. The focus initially was on Chianti but things have moved on and this Vernaccia is an absolute beauty. Fresh and light with an appealing nutty bitterness on the finish, it’s bone dry but with a lovely, textural richness.
