Effectively, this is White Beaujolais from Domaine Romy’s vineyards at the southern end of the region. It obviously still qualifies as Bourgogne and is made very much in the Burgundian style with a short lees ageing to preserve its aromatic, fresh and buttery character. Nicolas Romy and his father Dominique are very much of the natural school of winemaking with a hands-off approach to vineyard management and low intervention in the chais. Properly classy this
