Cote du Danube Viognier, Ch. Burgozone

Founded in 2000, Burgozone is a boutique family wine producer with 150ha, of which 100ha are under vine. Perched on the slopes above the Danube river, opposite southern Romania, the estate is near the port town of Oryahovo and overlooks the island of Esperanto (named after the language). 

From the leading producer of Viognier in Bulgaria (according to Oz Clarke). The hills of the Danube River provide very similar conditions to those in the Northern Rhone. Ripe stone fruits, flowers and citrus aromas characterize the wine, and this aromatic and full body wine really food friendly- perfect with appetizers, slightly more ambitious culinary endevours, vegetarian dishes, fish and seafood
