It’s kind of “Beaujolais but not as we know it.” Louis Latour as any fule kno, is one of Burgundy’s longest established companies, producing a huge range covering every appellation in the region. Venturing further south, this is a blend from some 35 different vineyard sites and whilst it is pure Gamay (obv) it is quite deceptively full flavoured. More in the way of dark fruit than one might expect and deeper in colour.
