Truly glorious Fiano – comes across as a little understated but just evolves in the mouth. It’s all quite lime and jasmine but the acidity and finish are just exquisite. It’s got a touch of oak but it’s ever so subtle and well integrated. Trust me, you’ll love this, as I did when finishing the bottle the night before we had an early train to catch. Wasn’t so keen the following morning.

Esoterica £19.75

A complex blend, combining aromatic rose petal and bitter marmalade notes with a tense acidity and a grippy, sapid finish with hints of smokey black tea.

Truffle Hound £19.75

This is Brendan and Laura Carter's tribute to the Northern Italian reds they love, but in the drink-instantly style that Unico Zelo is famous for. It's a blend of Nebbiolo, Barbera, Sangiovese and Merlot. As you might expect, it's a wine built for sheer, joyous drinkability, with a savoury backbone making it great alongside a myriad of foods. If you're after a moreish light-to-medium red with a bit of x-factor, then this is just a no-brainer.
