Pinot Noir (in Germany known as Spätburgunder) from the “Nussdorfer Bischofskreuz” site comes from roughly ffteen year old vines which are rooted in sandy clay soil. The grapes are a particularly small and loose berry variant of the classic Pinot Noir which is lower in yield but higher in quality. The use of chemicals in the vineyard is kept to a minimum and insecticides are not used. An ecological nutrient cycle is attained using green manure.

Despite being a relatively ‘young’ producer, Bibo Runge are an outfit that's going somewhere, and in a hurry. 2016 saw Stuart Pigott award them ‘Discovery of the Year’, after only a year or two in operation
Typical of this producer this is a sharp and clean wine expressing the perfect harmony of bright fruit and linear acidity. A great aperitif and delicious with fusion cuisine.

Riesling (70%) and Gewürztraminer (30%) combined in an explosive cuvée made following biodynamic principles. Enlivened by the aromas of tropical fruit, underlaid with spice and citrus notes. Very appealing on the palate, complex with the freshness of Riesling and the juicy aroma of Gewürztraminer.

DR. LO Riesling has just the right amount of fruitiness to balance the crisp acidity. On the palate it is clearly Riesling, but it walks the line between a fruity and drier style. The characteristic acidity of Mosel Riesling helps it finish fresh and clean. If shown blind it may not be recognized as alcohol-free.
