A lovely Carignan-Merlot blend from the sunny south of France. This wine is made by the modern Les Vignobles Foncalieu cooperative based in Arzens, south-east of Toulouse. The dry, sunny region is cooled by the Mediterranean Sea breezes and is perfectly suited to the Carignan and Merlot varieties. Red berry aromas with a touch of sweet spice on the nose. Red fruits and plum notes on the palate are supported by fine tannins and a subtly peppered finish. A great accompaniment to charcuterie and cheeses.
An intriguing combination of one of Italy's most successful grape varieties, Pinot Grigio, and one of their lesser known gems from the island of Sicily, Catarratto. Sweet ripe fruit flavours, citrus and golden plum, are combined with the natural spice of the Catarratto.
An intense wine with cherry, ripe plum fruit aromas and warm, earthy spice. The palate is densely packed with morello cherry, cassis and bramble fruit flavours. Tannins are ripe, giving structure to a substantial wine with a fresh sappy finish.
