Immediate, linear notes of lime leaf, flint, ginger, jasmine and graham. With air this fleshes out with secondary notes of nectarine, peach, and the almighty feijoa (the South American pineapple guava fruit). The feel no matter the fruit is mineral. On the palate, flavors of tangerine, peach, cream and lightly toasted grain are noted. This wine will continue to deepen with time in the cellar or a decant.
The wine has lots of warm black fruit and plum aromas, with cinnamon, spices, pepper and a hint of vanilla. The palate is concentrated with damsons, red fruit, spice and stony minerality with a very elegant and warm finish. The mouth is initially very silky but gives way to some mouth watering acidity and firm tannins.
