Who would have thought that Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc would make such good bedfellows? Anyone who has tried this wine, that`s who. It turns out that the peachy stone fruit flavours of the Viognier are the perfect complement to zesty gooseberry Sauvignon flavours.
Black, meaty and appealing on the nose. There are complex aromas of ripe red fruit mixed with notes of wood. The palate is soft and has round, voluptuous tannins resulting in a good balance and fantastic length.
The nose has jasmine tea notes with white pepper held together by a fine sandy structure. On the palate there are bright floral and mineral nuances with a lingeringly spicy, ginger and exotic finish. A hugely and broadly appealing and accessible Gewürz.
