Prats & Symington was founded in 1999 as a joint venture between the well known Bordeaux winemaker, Bruno Prats and the Symington family. It is an independent company specialising in dry red wines which has been at the forefront of the DOC Douro quality revolution and instrumental in driving forward the high quality image of the region.
The Prazo de Roriz is characterized particularly by red fruit flavours — raspberries and cherries and the Quinta de Roriz terroir provides a distinctive minerality and appealing peppery spice. The Quinta da Perdiz vineyard also provides grapes for the Prazo de Roriz. The wine is made for drinking young, but with the potential for developing in bottle for several years.

Produced from the Castelão and Trincadeira varieties typically found in the region, showing a fruit-forward, easy-drinking wine, with the sunshine and Atlantic breezes from Setúbal Peninsula giving it a lightly toasted pinch of seasoning.
On the nose, a mix of red berries with black plum, raspberries and camellias on the nose make it a very inviting wine. On the palate, we find a mix of fresh juicy red berries and a touch of freshly ground pepper that brings it alive (almost like a Bloody Mary cocktail)! Medium tannins, easy drinking with a smooth character and medium length refreshing finish.

Produced in Quinta de Santa Teresa, with grapes from the P67 parcel, this Monólogo is made from Avesso, the typical variety of Baião.
This wine shows a fresh aromatic profile, with notes of white flowers, thyme and a citric side to it, particularly passion fruit. On the palate smooth and silky notes of guava and pear, along with a well-adjusted acidity. It will age well in bottle.
