Despite being a relatively young winery, Bibo Runge are an outfit that's going somewhere, and in a hurry. 2016 saw Stuart Pigott award them ‘Discovery of the Year’, after only a year or two in operation
As a new winery Bibo Runge are using new casks (between 600l and 2400l) which lends an extra dimension to their wines that you don't find from wineries whose casks are decades, if not centuries, old. When you combine this with hand harvesting, the very gentle use of a basket press, and incredibly long, spontaneous, fermentations, you get something different and glorious. The wines are multi-layered, the bright Riesling fruit supported and elevated by the subtle textural elements supplied by the barrel.
The KLEINER REVOLUZZER captivates with an intense aroma. Apricot and mango notes rise from the glass. On the palate it is rich, intense and fresh. - Konstantin Baum, Master of Wine

Deep ruby red. A rich, expressive bouquet with notes of red-berried fruit, blackberry and blackcurrant with highlights of oak. The palate is rounded, ample and flavourful, displaying remarkable freshness. The harmonious balance of the tannins, which imparts fine aromatic length with a predominantly fruity back-of-palate, is to be savoured. One of the great achievements of the 2017 vintage, a very fine wine that stands out by virtue of its freshness and vibrancy.
