Although Perry pear trees are relatively uncommon, those who mastered growing a Perry were held in high esteem. In times gone by, demand was so high that farmworkers requested part of their wages in Perry. Dunkerton's Perry has a distinctive Perry pear fragrance with a delicate creamy flavour perfectly balancing initial sweetness with a dry finish.
