The present Château Les Ragottes dates back to the 19th Century, though evidence has been found of a vineyard going back to the Gallo-Roman period. When the Orsini family first settled here there were only 3 hectares of vines, which over the years have now grown to around 18 hectares.
The wine itself is a beautiful shade of red with tints of garnet, with an expressive nose and good body with well integrated tannins.
Merlot, Tannat, Cabernet and a touch of Syrah. A delightful surprise! a red fruity bouquet, loads of strawberries and cream, crisp and fresh, toasty biscuity finish.Domaine de Pellehaut
