Helles is a traditional German pale lager beer, produced chiefly in Southern Germany, particularly Munich and Bavaria. The German word hell can be translated as "bright", "light", or "pale". They are characterised by their underlying malt sweetness, easy drinkability and sublime refinement and refreshment. Bayreauther Brauhaus based in Bavaria are renowned across Germany as one of the finest brewers of Helles and in 2018 they won the International Meininger Craft Award for their Helles.
Following the Reinheitsgebot Purity laws of 1516, Pure Helles uses the finest English Maris Otter malt, Pilgrim hops from Worcestershire and a blend of classic noble hops of the highest quality from Bavaria that give Pure Helles a clean, refreshing and bright appearance but with that unmistakable Purity character.

The 3rd in a series of IPAs exploring the depths and breadths of modern IPA brewing. Ekuanot, Ella and Enigma hops are used in the kettle, whirlpool and dry hop delivering a complex hop profile of tropical fruit, over ripe mango, red currants and spice. A slightly more complex malt bill including oats and a small portion of Cara Red gives a little balancing sweetness, whilst an American Ale yeast strain keeps the beer clean, precise and bright.
