The secret behind the extremely smooth and delicate taste is the distillation in a Coffey Still, a traditional continuous still which produces Nikka`s signature grain whiskies. Selected distillate made from corn and barley are blended by experts and carefully refined with white birch charcoal.

Pisco ABA is produced with the best Muscat grapes from a privileged area in the magical Elqui Valley. Grapes are first vinified and then carefully distilled in small traditional stills to produce a clear, crystal eau-de-vie, infused with the softness and fragrance of the Muscat grapes, all in 40º alcohol strength.

A large majority of rum producers offer a white rum variety. Maison Ferrand wanted to produce a white rum that would stand out from the others using rums aged and unaged and taking advantage of the exceptional talent of the House for blending cognacs. Plantation 3 Stars is a blend of rums from three islands: Trinidad (rum aged two or three years), Barbados (young rum), and Jamaica (old rum). This final blend was carefully thought out by our cellar master and each island brings its own aromatic characteristics.
Plantation O.F.T.D. Rum is our take on that classic style of overproof rums. And not just ours: to join him on the quest to get the blend and the proof just right, Alexandre Gabriel scoured rum joints around the world to find six grizzled old salts who knew which end of a rum bottle was which.
Together they came up with this blend of Guyana, Jamaica and Barbados rums, bottled at 69 proof degrees.
O.F.T.D. officially stands for Old Fashioned Traditional Dark but if you ask any of the seven collaborators who were in the room when this blend was born, they`ll tell you it really stands for something else that was exclaimed when the winning rum was tasted…

The finest blackberries from the Rocky Mountain region are harvested over the summer, juiced, and blended with our whiskey, creating an intensely rich spirit. The whiskey rests in charred American barrels, where notes of vanilla, raisin, and oak are pulled from the barrel itself, flavoring the whiskey. The spirit is naturally colored by the barrel and blackberry juice used, without the aid of artificial coloring agents. Lastly, it is bottled by hand to maintain the integrity of the sweet blackberries and soft finish.
