Brewed in collaboration with our friends from Modern Times in San Diego and Crosby Hop Farm, this low-ABV Pale Ale is designed to showcase two Crosby varietals renowned for deep, fleshy fruit flavours, Idaho 7 and Belma. A high proportion of Munich malt was used to add greater depth of flavour and a subtle sweetness that will complement the fruity notes.
Aroma & Flavour. Initial hit of overripe mango and pineapple yields to soft peach and light, creamy mango, supported by resinous hop notes
Body. Light, yet soft, smooth and silky
Aftertaste. Notes of grapefruit zest become more prominent, underpinned by light, biscuity malt flavours
The bright gold Augustiner Edelstoff has understated notes of cut grass, herbs, and sweet malts that are balanced by a moderate bitterness. Its light body and delicate carbonation lead to a smooth mouthfeel that still finds a way of being crisp and lingering with a fantastically clean finish.
A straw-coloured bitter which initially seems sweet, but a complex dry, hoppy taste soon predominates.
Probably the best example of the traditional Black Country style of bitter. No better partner to a lunchtime snack!Batham's Brewery
